Amal is a DJ, curator, and event producer based out of Oakland, California. With music at the center of her work and creations, Amal’s multifaceted sound, inspired by her Egyptian roots and the diversity of her home in the Bay Area, holds no genre boundary. From R&B to future beats, soul to global, house to hip-hop, and everything in between - Amal’s work holds a common thread of building feeling, connection, and community.

Amal’s distinct musical repertoire has brought her into spaces encompassing all kinds of sounds - working with and alongside artists like Kaytranada, Teedra Moses, Cam’ron, Coco and Breezy, Nina Sky, Maliibu Miitch, Mark de Clive-Lowe, and Jon B. She’s also graced stages at prominent music events such as No Nazar, Les Play House, Motown on Mondays, Soulovely, Sazon Libre, Cuffin’ All Thangs R&B, and Love Supreme. Amal is also the mind behind Butter, a dance party based in Oakland, California, and an active member of the artist collective, Morevibes.

Amal continues to grow, learn, and leave her mark through music and her ability to engage people through sound.
